Just think about it....
How many times have you heard that statement?
24 isn't young. 24 should be married.
24 should be making babies. At 24, you certainly don't have a voice in the world of youths.
They've been saying it, sending castigating smiles your path. Your footsteps twist while they hiss at you. Family talks and friends echo in disdain. You're tired and you decide to venture into a world of matrimonial encumbrance thinking it would save you from their wrath. Afterall, family comes first.
Now you're married and saddled with two kids atleast. You've forgotten yourself and all that radiates you is the consciousness of the great things you could've achieved at that age.
24 is young. That's a progressive age and you shouldn't doubt what success lies within it. People will always give opinions but you should build yourself to be better. Find a home in knowledge and positive influence.
Who are your friends? The ones that compete for marriage and bombard your life with constantly fauxed stories of their not so happy lives? The ones that remind you that you're getting older and would soon be forgotten if you don't throw yourself away ironically?
Who's your family? Family should be your safe space. Where you can cuddle up and bare your mind. Papa pats your back and Mama reminds you that you'll be fine. It's not a competition. They pacify your distress and wipe your tears.
A woman is constantly burdened by the dreadful notion of, "Age is not on your side". You're beyond your age.
Don't give up on your age. It dosen't matter what number it is but you're never too old to make great things happen. Your laughter fuels positivity in the world. Your speech reminds people of delectable memories and how they can forge on beyond memory lanes.
So my dear, choose those that choose you. It's not a matter of desirability but parallel principles. Find those that cherish growth and grow with them.
The constant when are you getting married? You'll soon be out of the marriageable age and all. I understand but please find yourself, don't get carried away with those noise and find yourself.
