*Ever Say Sorry to Yourself*

Ever say Sorry to yourself?

I forgive me for hurting too hard. People scream in pain and I'm there to placate their sorrows but my screams are silent. I never say sorry to myself. I never apologize for crying in the middle of the night while my eyes blur in wonder. I never console me on days that are filled with travails and wails.

I never hug myself. You know how you hug a friend and melt in their warm embrace and the scent of peace that lingers on their skin. My soul deserves that hug yet I've been selfish. I tell myself to look away and remain strong.. I am a strong woman and strong women never say sorry to themselves.

I never blow myself a kiss in the mirror. All I see is a countenance I can't comprehend with a smile that looks too sad to be real. Have you seen a sad smile before? I wish I could cup my cheeks and just breathe through the inner child in me while I smile my sorrows away.
I try to comfort myself but I know it's all lies. The sorrys are fake. I never cry for my wounds. They can be painful but I'm worried the world would laugh if I cry..

But today, I say sorry to me for all the times I've been hurt. I'm letting go now and it seems free and happy. You deserve to say that sorry to yourself. Live and enjoy the bliss of the world for you.
