Cracked......Broken........Frozen

I found you staring off into a subtle moment. You were deep in thought and when you finally found my stare, you softened and nodded off as if reminding me that I mattered. I cherished that piece of you while I took my morning strolls and remembered your glance after my evening meals.

I met you again at the garage. You were seated at the back and smiling at a child. I removed my headset and wondered why fate kept bringing us together silently. I laughed within me as the child giggled and grabbed your hand. Your smile was wide, baring your pearly whites. Our eyes met and spontaneously entwined. Your laughter healed my wounds without saying a word.

You were there at the hospital with a bandaged head and a content face. Life had thrown a jab at us in the midst of chaos yet we were there together again. I had to say something but it seemed our eyes knew better from the flicker of your lashes to the furrow of my brows. Silence. Not a word but stares that said we were shattering.

I saw you again when the world came crashing down. I felt it within my feet. When everywhere became dust and rubbles, I found you at the bottom of it. I rushed threw jagged stones and forgot my pains. You had to hear a word from me even if they would be my last words. I reached down and dragged your rigid body. My screams reverberated in the air. I had lost someone so dear. Suddenly, your lips twisted into a smile. The world had not ended us after all. And as we stared silently at eachother, I knew I loved you and you knew too.
